Originally the title of the first NYC dance piece Yvonne choreographed back in 2007, Hello to Nightmares, Alternate Worlds, and Fictitious Days now serves as the starting point for a new solo project and personal retrospective. Revisiting the music and emotional tone of that early work, Yvonne layers it with the lived experience, creative evolution, and spiritual insight she’s gathered over two decades in New York City.

This work-in-progress begins with a storytelling moment: a chance encounter with a stranger in a subway station. His words—seemingly from another realm—marked a moment of resounding guidance. That story frames what follows: a dance-based exploration into the nonlinear, shifting states of a neurodivergent mind, grappling with inner demons while reaching to make sense of unseen spiritual forces.

This is an excerpt of what will eventually become a one-woman show. For now, we offer a dance between past and present, body and spirit, chaos and clarity.
